INGREDIENTS

1 turkey, thawed completely through*

1 Tbsp smoked paprika

1 1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 1/2 tsp onion powder

1 tsp cayenne pepper

1 poultry container of herbs (thyme, sage and rosemary)

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter

1/2 cup chicken broth

4 large carrots

2 onions

4 apples

8 cloves of garlic

1 can of Sociable Cider

Salt and pepper to taste

*Note: We used a 12.5 LB turkey

**We used Skinny Tire, but feel free to use your favorite cider

1)Preheat oven to 450º.

2)Mix together spices, butter, and 3/4 of the herbs. Massage the spice rub inside the cavity of the turkey, under the turkey skin, and all over the bird.

3)Roughly chop carrots, onions, and apples. Place the rest of the herbs, garlic cloves, carrots, onions, and garlic inside and around the turkey. Tuck the wing tips under the turkey so they do not get overdone.

4)Take your Sociable Cider can and open the tab about halfway. Pour out 1/3 of the can and insert it inside the turkey cavity with the mouth of the can positioned towards the ceiling. Add the chicken broth to the bottom of the pan for added moisture.

5)Turn the oven down to 350º. Cover the turkey with tin foil and place the turkey into the oven. Roast the turkey about 14-15 minutes per pound, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the turkey thigh reads 165º. Remove the tin foil once halfway through the cooking cycle, and put turkey back in the oven to crisp up.

6)Let turkey rest at least 30 minutes, carve, and enjoy!
